Journal Entry: All good things must come to an end…………oh and i blew it with dua lipa

It was my Jr year of college and my roommate was browsing the new music thread on what is now considered the infamous /r/HipHopHeads Reddit forum when he clicks on a new song entitled GOLD from boy band rap collective BROCKHAMPTON.

I was hooked……. who the fuck where these dudes!??? What do you mean they met online on the Kanye to the blog??? These guys moved from Texas to LA to make it big as a rap group like wu tang?

It was so awesome to see the gang grow up right before my eyes and I don't think anyone would disagree with me in saying the Saturation trilogy will go down as one of the best music trilogy's of all time.

I had seen them perform at Coachella which was set to be the "last performance ever" but to my surprise when they announced their finale would actually be taking place at The Fonda I knew I had to go. Thankfully I had homie make a call and there we were in VIP watching the boys put on a medley of all their hits ranging from All American Trash to their final album TM.

It was at this very show where a certain pop singer just so happened to be sitting across from me where we kept locking eyes throughout the concert only to then be shocked that It was Dua Lipa. After the show ended she made her way to my section and just waited. Now I had two options one go up to her and say hi and risk getting closed line by her very huge security guard or two just stand there and wait for maybe her security guard to leave. If you've read this far then don't do as I did and as a wiseman once said you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

It was bitter sweet to see the boys break up just as I felt their rise to mainstream with songs like Sugar were getting so popular but just as their jackets read all good things must come to an end and I hope they each continue to make great music.
