I still remember that statement like it was yesterday….It was 2019 and we had just announced Sacred Spectacle to raise funds for Slauson when Shia began reading the list of acts set to perform. He began to list off notable names like YG, Jaden Smith, Vic Mensa, when all of a sudden he took a pause at the name “Baby Keem” to say “ ….He’s the next one”

Considering myself a certified hip hop head and knowing Shia to be one as well I immediately responded “Oh Word!?”

That night night after class I got home went on youtube and searched Baby Keem….Immediately I realized I was having that same feeling I had back in 2009 when I was the only one at the time listening to this new artist on Youtube/Myspace by the name of Drake.

"Baby Keem not a wave i'm a vibe hoe" Keem was a vibe from the second he came on the track you were fully engaged with his unique high pitch voice and in your face rhymes. Being able to see his rise has inspired me and when we I was able to host him at the castle we both couldn't help but take a step back and have a full circle moment to be proud of what we've accomplished in the last 3 years.
