In fall of September 2018 Co-Stars & Best Friends Shia LaBeouf and Bobby Soto Co-founded The Slauson Rec Theater Company with one goal in mind - To bring theater to one of the most marginalized neighborhoods in the United States. "The first thing they cut from schools in neighborhoods like this are the arts programs, there is no time for how do I feel? or what do I think? so what I hope to do with this Theater school is give this community an outlet to express themselves and in that hopefully change the world." -Shia LaBeouf. OUR MISSION: Slauson Rec. will work to garner the faith of the neighborhood as an active nucleus where the needs of some of the city's more distressed can confront the ideas of the innovators in art and politics from the community, and those who have never set foot in the area. It was here were Shia appointed me the position of Creative Lead and Admin assisting in all things relating to Slauson Rec whether it be Production and publicity management, brand partnerships, Producing, Choreographing, Actor, and connecting with vendors and high-profile clients/talent.
